The reduced, plain and simple, most-tattoo appropriate design is the reduced version in the corner- but the more complex one was more appealing, I thought.

Ooooh, nifty! Between the astrolabe-look of the boggest circular design, the angular shape, and the slash through the eye making it look like a screw, it gives the bird a somewhat mechanical look.
